REMINDER: ACTION REQUIRED - 1099 Script Update for your 2021 1099-S submission

Dear SoftPro Customer,

This is a reminder that you need to schedule an appointment for us to apply a newly required script to your SoftPro software for 1099-S submissions. As noted in an email last week, we recently learned about an IRS change affecting tax year 2021 electronic 1099-S submission files. Before submitting your 1099-S file, you will need to schedule an appointment so that we may apply the newly required script. Even if you previously completed the 2021 1099 update, this new script update is required in order to successfully submit your 2021 filings.

If you have already uploaded your 2021 1099-S file to the IRS, you will receive a failure notification. Before re-submitting, you will need to schedule an appointment for our technician to apply the newly required script. Please use the "Book Appointment" link below to schedule an appointment with our team. Note that for the update:

• Administrative access to your server is required
• No downtime is required

*Please Note: The IRS now requires all 1099 filers to enter their TCC, EIN, and Business Name exactly as it currently appears in the FIRE system. To avoid a validation error and denied access to FIRE, we recommend logging into the FIRE site as soon as possible, prior to the March 31, 2022 1099 filing deadline.
