The IRS will only accept *new* *requests *for TCC code via the [FIRE website](https://fire.irs.gov/) - Complete and submit to the IRS: use this *only* to request modification or additional TCC codes **Substitute 1099-S Forms: Updated by the IRS in January 2017** The updated forms contain a box that should be checked if the transferor (seller) is a foreign person. This is a different concept than a foreign address, since a US citizen could have a foreign address or vice versa.
